Hey, I’m Gemma & this is Wild Spirit Living.
I’ve been sharing my heart online since 2006, and have held many an internet home until I came to settle here.
Wild Spirit Living is a space where the little details of the everyday are documented. It’s a journey into living a more natural, slow, seasonal and self-sufficient lifestyle. It’s a reminder to come back home to yourself, to rewild.
I’m an essential oils educator and natural lifestyle mentor, certified coach, writer, designer, and advocate for sustainable and seasonal living.
My love of the outdoors and the British countryside was instilled in me from an early age, with every weekend taken up with day trips and adventures across the Yorkshire moors and dales, and beyond.
After several years living and working in the city, I’m on a personal mission to ‘rewild’ myself, to slow down and simplify and reconnect with nature and its seasons.
In 2011, I quit my job in the city, moved back to Yorkshire and started my own creative business. Since then, I’ve slowly figured out what’s most important to me and worked to bring my life in alignment (a work in progress, always).
Most days you'll find me working in my home office with our rescue hound at my feet - sipping on a big old mug of green tea. When I’m not working, I can usually be found walking in the local nature reserve, tending to my kitchen garden or planning our newly acquired allotment.
We (myself + my man, Greg + 2 gorgeous step-children + 2 rescue hounds) live in a village just outside of Sheffield, UK but I dream of a house by the sea.

Florence is a Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen (or french, furry, basset hound for short). The breed was originally bred in France for hunting Deer but you’re much more likely to find her dreaming about Cheese.
